MALIN KUNDANG AND THE JADE STONE
Once upon a time in the
small city in the middle of nowhere. Lived a poor family in small home, malin
and his mother. They lived very poorly, to buy something to eat daily, they
must trying hard first. Malin was very handsome man, he so strong having the
burden in his shoulder to give live to his mother.
Until one day on the
street, malin saw the bandits rob someone. He casing them in the middle of
night. Bandits hide in the woods but malin know it he came after them but this
was just a trap, robber swing a knife to malin, and made a scars to malin’s
check. After beating them, malin return what they rob to where it should be
belongs to. And then he went back home.
Next day malin saw his
face in the mirror looked so terrible. The scars in his check look so bad and
made his face looked so ugly. He was so depressed. He ask the people around the
city to ask some advice. But no one have a solution to the problem. After couple
of week, Malin went to the market to buy something for his mother, he saw an
Advertise in the windows of meat store. The Advertise said that will be held a
surgery in the middle town. He decided to go there and he tell it to his
mother. But his mother not allowed him to go there. The day came and malin went
to middle town, he went away by find someone who willing to give him a ride.
The surgery was succeeded
and he became handsome once more, at the way back he meet someone and offer him
to be an artist, he agreed and famous. After couple of years he meet someone he
loves and decide to married her. Even she have a bad looking face, malin love
her so much. He went back to his homeland to tell his mother that he already
have some one that will accompany him till his last breath.
Malin and his wife arrived,
he tell his mother what happened, But his mother not agreed with decision malin
already made. She was angry to them and shout to that girl. He curse malin to
be a stone. After three time she said to malin to be a stone, nothing happened.
With last hope that malin to be separated with that girl, she cursed malin’s
wife to be a jade stone, and succeed.
Three days and night
malin crying to his wife that turn into jade stone, his mother sad saw her son
in that condition and said if that can’t be helped anymore. His mother tell
that how if the jade can be use full, malin shocked and ask how. The only way
was turn the jade into many pieces and sold it to the seller, this can make us
rich. And your wife life not be wasted and still useful to malin’s family.
After they sold the jade they become rich, malin married to a beautiful girl and
they lived happily.
